Huntrods, Knoer, and Ryan Named Among Minnesota Lawyer's POWER 30 M&A Attorneys

Ann Huntrods, Dennis Knoer, and Steven Ryan were recently selected to Minnesota Lawyer‘s POWER 30: Mergers & Acquisitions Attorneys for Minnesota in 2023. This edition highlights those whose mere presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive, and whose respect within the bar is undeniable. Minnesota Lawyer’s editorial team interviewed professionals and other leaders throughout the state to select the list of honorees.

Huntrods has 30 years of experience in employment law and litigation. She has handled cases in state and federal court and argued before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. She frequently assists employers in responding to discrimination charges brought before federal, state, and local enforcement agencies. She also conducts internal investigations for employers both prior to and after litigation begins.

Knoer serves as outside general counsel to a number of privately held companies, providing counsel and guidance on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, risk management, business contracts, general corporate law, and shareholder conflict resolution.

Ryan was the president and managing partner of Briggs and Morgan until its combination with Taft on Jan. 1, 2020, and partner-in-charge through Jan. 2021. Throughout his 25 years with the firm, Ryan has served in a number of other leadership roles including firm chair, practice group leader and as a member of the board of directors and executive committee.
