Dershaw Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at NKU Labor Management Conference
Taft Cincinnati partner Brian Dershaw was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 42nd Annual Northern Kentucky University Lou Manchise Labor-Management Conference on May 16. The award recognizes Dershaw’s contributions and enduring impact in a career dedicated to building labor/management relationships and furthering the mission of the conference, both in service to the planning committee and as a speaker.
Hosted by NKU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, the conference brings together labor and management leaders to address topics relevant in workforce strategies and operations.
Dershaw is chair of Taft’s Cincinnati Employment and Labor Relations practice, which is comprised of 20 attorneys who work in the areas of employment, labor, immigration, OSHA, and workers’ compensation. Dershaw’s practice varies between day-to-day advice and counsel; employment, restrictive covenant, and wage and hour litigation and arbitration; labor-management relations; workforce assessment and transition in mergers and acquisitions; and reviewing and drafting agreements and policies. He works across many industries and with employers of all sizes.
Dershaw has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for Employment & Labor Law by Ohio Super Lawyers; in Best Lawyers in America ® for Litigation – Labor & Employment and Labor Law – Management, including as 2024 Labor Lawyer of the Year for Cincinnati; and as a Cincy Leading Lawyer by Cincy Magazine. He is a member of Leadership Cincinnati, Class 43, a fellow of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL), Class X, and a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky, Class of 2015.
