On Friday, August 10, the Cincinnati Bar Foundation was honored by the National Conference of Bar Foundations for sponsoring the best public service program of 2007, Out of the Crossfire, a program aimed at preventing gun violence.

Mel Shotten, president of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation, accepted the award along with Director of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation Rene McPhedran, Cincinnati Bar Association President Jeff Shoskin, and Cincinnati Bar Association Vice-President and President-Elect Phil Schworer.
