Chicago Lawyer Magazine Profiles Amarilio's Law Day Leadership
Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio was featured in a Chicago Lawyer article published on Dec. 18 discussing the Law Day oath reaffirmation event held in May at Chicago’s Federal Plaza. The article highlights Amarilio’s leadership in organizing the event alongside 18 other bar associations. This event brought together attorneys and judges to reaffirm their commitment to the rule of law, an independent judiciary, and an independent legal profession.
Amarilio serves as treasurer of the Chicago Bar Association and has been an advocate for judicial independence and for protecting lawyers from political intimidation. His efforts helped reinforce the legal profession’s collective commitment to upholding constitutional principles and the rule of law.
As co-chair of Taft’s Appellate and Critical Motions partner, Amarilio represents individuals, businesses, and state and local governments before state and federal appellate courts. He is especially experienced representing clients in the Illinois Appellate Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
