Cacioppo Elected to JDRF Board of Directors

Taft Indianapolis partner Jayna M. Cacioppo has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Her term will begin July 1.

JDRF is a leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strengths and focus lie in their exclusive and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Their mission is to improve lives each day by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

Cacioppo serves as chair of the Indianapolis Litigation practice group. Her practice concentrates in the areas of complex commercial, civil, environmental and white-collar criminal litigation, as well as regulatory investigations by state and federal agencies. She is a trial lawyer with significant courtroom experience in both criminal and civil matters.

Cacioppo is equally active with her local community as she is with her clients. She has been active raising funds for the fight against breast cancer through her work with the Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, particularly through her role as past president of the board. She also serves on the board of directors for Cancer Support Community Indiana. Additionally, she is active in her legal community as a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association, and the Indianapolis Bar Association. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDL) and the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA).
