Butler Selected to Join Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha International

Taft Chicago Real Estate partner Liz Butler has accepted an invitation to join the Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary society for the advancement of land economics. Members have extensive experience in the fields of land economics, architecture, engineering, real estate, planning, government, academia, land use, zoning law, etc., and exemplify a commitment to the community through public service. Butler will be sworn in at the annual initiation banquet on Oct. 19.

Butler focuses her practice in the areas of land use, zoning, entitlements, urban planning, public incentives, historic preservation, and economic development, as well as general real estate transactions. She has negotiated and enacted economic development and historic preservation incentives, performed general property evaluations and zoning due diligence, and structured and closed numerous real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Butler is a member of the American Planning Association and the Urban Land Institute.
