Brenny Featured in Finance & Commerce Aldi Sale Article
Taft Minneapolis real estate partner Greg P. Brenny was referenced in the April 3 Finance & Commerce article “Just Sold: New downtown Chanhassen Aldi draws $3.2 million.”
Brenny managed the legal issues involved in the sale and creation of the Aldi parcel which contains a 19,000-square-foot Aldi store built atop a parking garage, and is a component of the mixed-use project, The Venue apartment and retail project, at 551 W. 78th Ave. W. in downtown Chanhassen, Minn. As discussed by Upland Real Estate Group Inc. in the article, the sale of the Aldi parcel posed a particular challenge because the Aldi parcel sits atop The Venue’s 134-unit apartment parking garage, as opposed to actual land. Brenny created the documentation needed for the relationship between the separately subdivided Aldi parcel and other parcels within the project to ensure a successful sale. Upland Real Estate Group Inc. was the broker responsible for the sale.
Brenny earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and is honored by The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law. He is a Certified Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association.
