Bilott Selected as Keynote Speaker for the 2019 Great Lakes Environmental Remediation and Redevelopment Conference
Taft partner Rob Bilott has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Great Lakes Environmental Remediation & Redevelopment Conference on Oct. 16-18, 2019 in Lansing Center, Lansing, Mich. Bilott will present, “History of Legal, Regulatory and Scientific Response to PFAS Contamination in the US.”
Led by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, the conference is the first-of-its-kind focused on creating a unique forum to discuss environmental issues in the Great Lakes Region. To learn more or to register, click here.
Bilott serves as co-lead counsel for the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee (PSC) in Multi-District Litigation (MDL) against DuPont involving PFOA personal injury claims. He also serves as advisory counsel to the PSC in the MDL involving PFAS in firefighting foam. He has been dubbed by The New York Times Magazine as “The Lawyer Who Became DuPont’s Worst Nightmare” in an article published on Jan. 6, 2016.
Bilott is a member of Taft’s Environmental, Litigation and Product Liability and Personal Injury practices. He represents a diverse range of clients on a wide variety of matters involving federal, state and local environmental laws and related litigation.
