Taft attorneys Thomas A. Barnard and Julian Harrell were quoted in the article "Early education efforts expose youth to various careers in law," which was published in The Indiana Lawyer on July 2. The article discusses the Summer Legal Institute, offered in Indianapolis by Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization. Taft recently hosted oral arguments for the Summer Legal Institute, and Barnard and Harrell, both members of Taft's diversity committee, volunteered for the program and attended the closing ceremonies.
