Babbitt Appointed to CBA Judicial Evaluation Committee
Taft attorney Elizabeth Babbitt has been appointed to the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee’s (JEC) Investigation Division. The JEC evaluates all sitting judges in Cook County and candidates for appointment to the Circuit Court, as well as candidates seeking appointment as an Associate Judge. The evaluations are designed to inform the public and the courts of the qualifications, independence and integrity of judicial candidates.
Babbitt is an associate in Taft’s Litigation group. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation and employment law. Babbitt is an active member of the Chicago legal community, serving as Special Projects Coordinator for the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Sections and recently as the president of the University Of Illinois College of Law Alumni Board.
