Arnold to Lead Condo Deconversion Panel at the Illinois Real Estate Journal Summit
Kathryn Kovitz Arnold, chair of Taft’s Condominium and Real Estate groups, will lead a panel of commercial real estate industry professionals at the second annual “Deconstruction Deconversion Summit” hosted by the Illinois Real Estate Journal.
The program will be held Wed., May 29 at Maggiano’s, 516 N. Clark St., Chicago from 7:30 am – 10:45 am. Discussion will center on Chicago’s oversupplied condo market that is converting to in-demand apartments.
Arnold and the panelists will discuss the current state of the deconversion market, addressing questions including:
- What neighborhoods are in demand?
- What building types are deconversion candidates?
- What are the association issues that make a building a candidate?
- What are the roles of the buyer, brokers, board and association counsel in deconversions?
