Amarilio Appointed Chair of Cook County Independent Inspector General Search Committee
Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio has been named chair of the Cook County Independent Inspector General Search Committee. The Cook County Board of Commissions authorizes the Search Committee to search for qualified candidates for the position of Independent Inspector General and assembles a final list of candidates for that position, from which the Board of Commissioners and its bipartisan selection committee choose the next Inspector General.
Amarilio serves as co-chair of Taft’s firm-wide Appellate group. He represents individuals, small businesses, state and local governments, and Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts in his civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. Amarilio serves as President of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association and is a frequent speaker and author on various topics.
