Workers' Compensation Benefits

The workers’ compensation system in Ohio was designed to provide compensation and medical benefits to injured workers, and in some cases their dependents, for injuries that occur in the course and scope of their employment.  Entitlement to receive these benefits is not based on proving negligence or fault, but is entirely determined by establishing that the injury is work related.

Once a work-related injury is established, an employee is entitled to have medical bills paid, receive lost-time compensation benefits, and various other statutorily granted compensation benefits dependent upon the severity of the injury sustained.

Working closely with clients allows Taft attorneys to ensure that employees receive only the benefits that they are entitled to while recovering from their injuries.  Utilizing an aggressive defense strategy and active claims management diminishes the costs associated with these claims.
