Disciplining or terminating an employee can be stressful, disruptive and costly, not to mention it can lead to litigation.  Proactive management of these actions is important.

The Labor and Employment lawyers at Taft work with employers to develop written organizational policies which can serve as the basis for the discipline or termination; assist in evaluating the relative risks before a decision is made to discipline or terminate an employee; and provide guidance to supervisors and human resource professionals on documentation, timing, and carrying out discipline or termination, including contractual matters such as severance agreements.
