Zimmerman represents businesses, investors and entrepreneurs on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, securities offerings and strategic partnering transactions. He also serves as outside counsel for numerous growth companies and represents private equity and venture capital firms in fund formation and portfolio company investments. 

James M. Zimmerman, partner-in-charge of Taft's Cincinnati office, was featured in the Business Courier on Jan. 22 in the article "What startups taught Zimmerman about being a better lawyer." Zimmerman credits startups for inspiring some of the innovation at Taft, which includes new ways of looking at the employer-employee relationship and using technology to better serve clients.
