Taft West Palm Beach partner Gregory Weiss was honored with the 2025 Veteran of the Year Award, presented by the University of Florida Association of Military Alumni, at a banquet on Nov. 21, 2025.

The award recognizes Weiss’ outstanding service, leadership, and dedication to the values that define the Florida Gator military alumni community. His selection upholds the core values of honor, support, engagement, and sustainment as a veteran and alumnus of the University of Florida.

Weiss is a partner in Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is board-certified in Business Litigation and Civil Trial by the Florida Bar. Weiss previously served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps at the 82d Airborne Division and the Defense Language Institute at Presidio of Monterey. He deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom II and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.
