Tucker Elected as Legal Aid Society of Columbus's New Board of Directors Chair
Taft partner Janica Pierce Tucker has been selected to serve as the board of directors chair for the Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC). Comprised of attorneys who are committed to helping low income and elderly individuals receive high-quality legal representation, LASC is the oldest and largest general civil legal services organization in central Ohio. Tucker was elected as the board of directors chair on June 12, 2019 and will serve a two-year term.
Tucker is a partner in Taft’s Columbus office and serves as co-chair of Taft’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, a team of attorneys and senior staff who collaborate to create initiatives that advance a comprehensive mindset of inclusiveness in the firm’s thinking and actions. Tucker focuses her practice on representing clients in all aspects of employment and labor law. She also represents primary and secondary schools and defends employers against a broad range of employment claims, including sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge matters.
