Thompson Quoted in Victory for Warrensville Heights City School District Board of Education
Cuyahoga County Judge Nancy Margaret Russo dismissed Beachwood City School District Board of Education’s lawsuit against the Warrensville Heights City School District Board of Education.
The lawsuit claimed Warrensville Heights owed Beachwood millions of dollars in property tax payments pursuant to an agreement that the parties purportedly entered into over two decades ago.
In a one-paragraph ruling on Feb. 6, Judge Russo granted summary judgment in favor of Warrensville Heights, effectively dismissing the entirety of Beachwood’s lawsuit. Judge Russo noted in her ruling that a detailed opinion will soon be published.
Taft attorneys Adrian D. Thompson, Thomas J. Lee and Josh Mandel represented Warrensville Heights. To read local coverage about the victory, visit here.
