Taft Columbus partner David Thomas was interviewed by WBNS-TV on April 21. Thomas provided his thoughts regarding the Derek Chauvin verdict, following Chauvin’s trial for the murder of George Floyd. Thomas commented on what likely went into the jury’s deliberations and Minnesota’s sentencing guidelines.

Thomas is a partner in Taft’s Corporate Compliance and White Collar Criminal Defense practice group. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has tried cases before juries in state and federal courts in matters ranging from aggravated murder to corporate fraud and federal conspiracy. Thomas has also argued in state and federal appeals courts and the Supreme Court of Ohio.
