Terp and Burke Listed in The International Who's Who of Environmental Lawyers
Thomas Terp, chairman of the executive committee and managing partner of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, and Kim Burke, partner and co-chair of Taft’s environmental practice group, are listed in The International Who’s Who of Environmental Lawyers 2013. Published by Who’s Who Legal in London, nominees are selected by the editors based on comprehensive independent research and survey work with both general counsel and environment attorneys in private practice worldwide.
Terp has concentrated his practice on environmental matters and commercial litigation for more than 35 years and has been with Taft since 1973. He represents clients throughout the United States, frequently in precedent-setting litigation, and also advises clients on environmental issues in connection with real estate transfers, loan transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Terp is a graduate of the William and Mary Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. This is the ninth year in a row that he has been recognized in The International Who’s Who of Environmental Lawyers.
Burke has concentrated his practice on a variety of environmental law areas for more than 30 years and has been with Taft since 1981. He has represented clients in numerous environmental litigation, Superfund, RCRA and cleanup matters in more than 25 states around the country. Burke is a certified hazardous materials manager and was named “2014 Environmental Litigation Lawyer of the Year” for the Cincinnati region by Best Lawyers. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
