Taft will co-sponsor the ‘Global Venture Through Sports’ event taking place in Las Vegas on July 6, 2019. The event, hosted by LOUD Capital, features NBA Hall of Famer Yao Ming, who is presenting on behalf of the Yao Ming Foundation. The event will focus on entrepreneurship, education and US-China collaboration opportunities in relation to qualities instilled through sportsmanship. Ryan Schick will represent Taft at the event.

Yao Ming is chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, FIBA Asia and a 2016 Hall of Fame NBA inductee. The Yao Ming Foundation has been actively raising funds since June 2008 in response to a devastating earthquake in Sichuan Province China. The foundation oversees the day-to-day rebuilding projects and distributing funds with assistance of The China Youth Development Fund (CYDF).
