Taft Minneapolis Director of Operations Kim Hansen has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2021 Unsung Legal Hero honoree.

Each year, Minnesota Lawyer recognizes a group of Unsung Legal Heroes – legal professionals who work to make sure the job gets done and have their attorney’s backs – and everyone else’s backs. All Unsung Legal Heroes are representative of seven categories: legal administrative assistant, paralegal or judicial clerk, administrator or office manager, librarian, accounting staff, information technology, and marketing.

Hansen was promoted to director of operations of Taft’s Minneapolis office in January 2020 after the merger with Briggs and Morgan. She manages operations in the firm’s Minneapolis office, overseeing over 35 legal assistants, 19 paralegals, and four document production staff members. Above all, she is a thoughtful advocate for Taft’s employees and is immensely dedicated to operational excellence. She brings joy and good humor to her work and those who work with her and is widely trusted by personnel at all levels of the organization.
