Taft, JPMorganChase, and LASCO Receive 2026 CPBO Pro Bono Partner Award
Taft, in partnership with JPMorganChase and Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO), has received the Pro Bono Institute’s (PBI) 2026 Corporate Pro Bono (CPBO) Pro Bono Partner Award. The award recognizes innovative collaborations among in-house legal departments, law firms, and public interest organizations that demonstrate a meaningful impact in their communities. The award was presented at PBI’s 2026 Annual Dinner on Sept. 28 in New York City. The CPBO Pro Bono Partner Award recognizes partnerships that demonstrate community impact, sustained collaboration, substantial involvement by in-house lawyers, and innovative approaches to addressing critical legal needs.
The organizations were recognized for their long-standing partnership providing pro bono legal services to Ohio residents. The collaboration began with a Day of Service in 2015 and has grown over the past 11 years to include legal clinics and other services addressing a range of civil legal needs, including immigration, estate planning, expungement, and driver’s license reinstatement.
“Our Taft team is so grateful for the opportunity and invitation from JPMC and LASCO showing trust in us to partner with them,” said Kiamesha Colom, Taft Partner who has helped spearhead the program. “It is a privilege to collaborate with a client and colleagues who prioritize service.”
“This recognition is a testament to what can be accomplished through a sustained commitment to working together,” said Taft Pro Bono Counsel Rachel Jennings. “We are proud of what this collaboration has accomplished and grateful to everyone who has contributed their time and talents over the years.”
