Taft Cleveland to Sponsor Greater Cleveland Partnership Middle Market Forum

Taft Cleveland is a sponsor of the Greater Cleveland Partnership Middle Market Forum to be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 7:30 am – 12:30 pm at Corporate College East in Cleveland. The Forum will feature a presentation from the National Center for Middle Market, a keynote presentation and three panel discussions featuring middle market business leaders.

Taft Tax group chair David R. Tavolier is an invited panelist for the tax breakout session at the Forum. He will be speaking alongside Gregory Skoda, chairman of Skoda Minotti. They will discuss the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the most significant update to the U.S. tax code since 1986. This tax overhaul stands to lower taxes on businesses and individuals and to create higher wages, more jobs and spur economic growth.

The new SEC Commissioner, Robert J. Jackson Jr., is the keynote speaker, giving his first major address since taking office. He will present ideas about what the SEC and others can and should do to make capital markets work better for the country and the economy as a whole.
