Taft Chicago (Formerly Shefsky & Froelich) Files Federal Lawsuit Against Illinois Department of Human Services
Taft Chicago (formerly Shefsky & Froelich) has filed a federal lawsuit against the Illinois Department of Human Services in order to prevent the closing of the Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia, Illinois. The firm filed the suit on behalf of the Murray Parents Association, the Illinois League of Advocates and several individual guardians of residents at Murray Center.
Lead attorney and Taft (formerly Shefsky & Froelich) partner Judith S. Sherwin notes that the suit was filed to ensure the choice of guardians and residents to receive continued services to the developmentally disabled in appropriate settings.
