Taft Attorney Berliner Appointed Special Counsel By Ohio Attorney General To Assist With Casino Legislation Implementation Matters

CLEVELAND, OHIO—Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP announced today that Irv Berliner, a partner in the firm’s Cleveland office, was previously appointed by Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray as Special Counsel to provide legal services for casino legislation implementation matters for the state’s Office of Budget and Management.

During the assignment, Berliner worked with various officials crafting changes to the proposed legislation that was adopted earlier this summer.  Berliner has been recognized by the publication Best Lawyers in America in three categories: gaming, corporate and securities law.  He has extensive experience in financing casinos in Nevada, New Jersey and Mississippi, as well as experience representing clients before gaming regulators in New Jersey and Nevada.
