Taft assisted a Chinese energy storage solutions client in the process of obtaining national security clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in connection with an investment in a U.S. energy storage company. After negotiation of a mitigation agreement by Taft, CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security concerns with respect to the transaction.

The CFIUS team was led by Taft partner Russell Menyhart and included associates Ying Zhu and Leslie Stanard.
