In partnership with the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO), Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP hosted a community outreach workshop in its downtown Cincinnati office. The event—which was organized in connection with the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Retreat—provided a forum for attendees to participate in professional development centered activities to enhance their job seeking skills.

A collaborative effort between Taft and ULGSO, the community outreach workshop involved Taft attorneys and staff and more than 15 adults affiliated with ULGSO. With a goal to create an environment of professional enrichment and support, the event included mock interview and feedback stations, resume reviews and a Q&A-style panel.

“We were thrilled to partner with the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio on this workshop,” states Taft Cincinnati partner-in-charge James Zimmerman. “The Urban League’s work to promote economic self-sufficiency and personal empowerment is important to our community, and Taft is proud to play a role in supporting it.” 

Celebrating its 70^th anniversary this year, ULGSO is a civil rights organization that covers the Greater Cincinnati and Greater Dayton areas. The organization is dedicated to transforming generations by providing individuals, families and businesses with resources and tools they need to be empowered and obtain economic self-sufficiency. Job training programs, skills-based programs, finance classes and local partnerships are just a few of the ways ULGSO fosters opportunities for its members in surrounding communities.
