Taft Adds Kim to Chicago Finance Practice

Taft Chicago welcomes associate Samyoul Kim to the firm’s Finance practice. He focuses his practice on the areas of commercial finance and corporate transactions. 

Prior to joining Taft, Kim was an attorney at a Midwest-based law firm where he practiced commercial finance, corporate transactions, immigration law, and litigation. While in law school, he served as a legal intern for the New York City Transit Authority, specializing in managing operating contracts, price negotiations, and Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests. Kim also served as a legal intern for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, where he worked closely with the Domestic Violence Unit.

Kim obtained his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he served as president of the Asian Law Students Association and a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board. He earned his B.A. at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
