Taft Acts as Legal Counsel to Tower Automotive Operations USA Preventing a Disruption to the Automotive Supply Chain
Taft is pleased to have acted as legal counsel to Tower Automotive Operations USA, in securing a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction preventing disruption to the Jeep Wrangler automotive supply chain.
When one of Tower’s suppliers, Vari-Form Manufacturing, Inc., unilaterally raised its prices and halted shipment of parts to Tower on Jan. 17, 2024, Taft sprang into action and commenced a lawsuit that same day. After extensive briefing and arguments, Judge Linda Parker of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan accepted Taft’s position and issued a TRO and preliminary injunction in favor of Tower requiring Vari-Form to maintain the status quo by shipping parts at the previously agreed to prices.
Taft’s legal team included Ethan Holtz, James Kresta, and Sal Amodeo.
