Taft is pleased to have acted as legal counsel to Convelo Therapeutics in its $7.8 million equity financing by private investors. Convelo announced on July 25 that it has launched from stealth mode with a mission to discover and develop a new class of medicines that regenerate the protective myelin coating around nerve cells that is lost in a wide range of neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis (MS). Based in Cleveland, the company is founded on seminal scientific discoveries made in the laboratories of Drs. Paul Tesar and Drew Adams at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Taft’s legal team included Howard Bobrow, Brandi Weekley and Katelyn Evans.
