Taft Acted as Legal Counsel to BrightNight in $440 Million Strategic Investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives
Taft is pleased to have acted as lead counsel to BrightNight LLC in its successful closing of a $440 million strategic equity investment from Goldman Sach Alternatives into BrightNight’s newly-formed subsidiary, BrightNight Power, LLC. The investment, combined with existing capital commitments from leading institutional investors, is expected to fully fund BrightNight’s five-year business plan and advance the execution of its 31-gigawatt renewable power project portfolio, which includes solar, energy storage, and hybrid solutions. In addition, effective as of the closing of the transaction, Bob Hicks became a member of the Board of Directors of BrightNight Power, LLC.
