Taft Achieves Mansfield Rule 6.0 Certification Plus Status
Taft has earned Mansfield Rule 6.0 Certification Plus status, based on Diversity Lab’s yearlong intense review. Taft is proud to join more than 350 firms participating in the certification process and to be among firms who have obtained Plus status. Firms that achieve Plus status have met or exceeded the guidelines for openly communicating professional advancement opportunities and considering all firm-wide candidates – including underrepresented lawyers – for leadership roles and activities.
“The Mansfield Certification places importance and priority on access and inclusion for all professionals. Taft is deeply committed to creating an inclusive culture that furthers equal opportunities that benefit our clients, the communities we serve, and all of our professionals and other employees. We foster an environment that welcomes creative and varied perspectives, taking a modern and comprehensive approach to inclusive initiatives,” said Adrian Thompson, Taft’s chief inclusion and opportunity officer and co-partner-in-charge of Taft Cleveland.
The Mansfield process aims to broaden the talent pool for consideration of leadership positions with a focus on inclusion, fairness, and equal opportunity for all. Taft achieved Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status in 2021 and 2022. The firm is actively participating in the seventh cycle of the Mansfield process, Mansfield Rule 7.0 Certification.
