Stefan Stein Featured in Denver Business Journal’s 2025 Power Book

Taft Mountain West Chairman and Colorado Partner-in-Charge Stefan Stein was named to the Denver Business Journal (DBJ) 2025 Power Book, recognizing him as a newsmaker transforming his industry and the Colorado business community. In his feature, Stein discusses the success of the Sherman & Howard/Taft merger, hopes for the industry, and the importance of community service work.

“I’ve been fortunate to have had a rewarding professional career with a wide variety of experiences as a federal prosecutor, attorney in private practice, in-house company counsel, and corporate officer, but my community service work has been equally rewarding,” notes Stein to the DBJ.

Stein is a litigator with decades of experience representing companies and individuals in complex business disputes, internal investigations, and government investigations and enforcement actions. He formerly served as the CEO of Sherman & Howard and has held leadership positions in the telecommunications/technology industry.

Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Sherman & Howard combined with Taft, creating a firm powered by more than 1,000 attorneys from Washington, D.C. to the Mountain West. The combination enables both firms to deepen their benches of attorneys and strengthen their service offerings.

Part of the American City Business Journals network, the DBJ is the leading source of local business news, data, and networking for the Denver, Colorado, region. The leaders recognized in the 2025 Power Book hail from a variety of sectors, including real estate, technology, health care, sports, tourism, and more. View the full list HERE.
