Schwer Elected to IU Kelley Dean’s Council
Taft partner Brad Schwer has been elected to the IU Kelley Dean’s Council-Indianapolis. The Dean’s Council provides advice, counsel and support to the Dean of the Kelley School of Business and serves as the key interface between the school’s faculty and its business constituency.
Schwer is partner-in-charge of Taft’s Indianapolis office and a member of the Business & Finance group. He focuses his practice on complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and intellectual property licensing, as well as business advisory services and general corporate counseling for private equity funds, family offices and companies. Schwer earned a J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a B.S. from Ball State University. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Economic Club of Indiana and is a member of Just the Beginning Foundation’s Indianapolis Steering Committee. Schwer is a past president of the board of directors for the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Alumni Association and is a past board member of Ovar’coming Together, Inc. and the Community Development Law Center.
