Rusert's Committee to Receive Dartmouth 2023 Social Justice Award
Taft Minneapolis partner Scott Rusert’s committee at Dartmouth, The Class of 1987 Peace Justice Respect Committee, will be receiving the 2023 Social Justice Award in the Emerging Leadership category. Dartmouth’s annual Social Justice Awards ceremony recognizes individuals and organizations whose work in the areas of civil rights, social and environmental justice, and public health are making outstanding contributions at the university and in the broader world.
The Peace Justice Respect initiative has led a series of class events aimed at addressing the critical need for education about race, racism, gender, class, national origin, sexual orientation, and disability. Their efforts will be recognized at the May 18 award ceremony. More awardee and event information can be found here.
Scott is a partner in Taft’s Commercial Litigation and Compliance, Investigations, and White Collar Defense practices. Scott also assists clients in responding to governmental civil investigations and inquiries and in contesting administrative agency decisions. In his more than 30 years of practice, Scott has defended product liability actions involving industrial products, recreational products, and drugs and medical devices. He has also litigated and tried cases involving insurance law, construction law, employment disputes, and all manner of business disputes, including breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, and securities litigation.
