Perry Recognized by Washington Bar Association with 2026 Charles Hamilton Houston Medallion of Merit
The Washington Bar Association and the Washington Bar Association Educational Foundation honored Taft partner Beverly L. Perry with the 2026 Charles Hamilton Houston Medallion of Merit at the Association’s annual Law Day Dinner.
Perry was selected as the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Charles Hamilton Houston Medallion of Merit, which recognizes lawyers who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service to the profession, and a sustained commitment to advancing justice and opportunity in the Washington, D.C. community.
She was recognized at the Washington Bar Association’s 2026 Law Day Dinner on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C. The event brought together members of the bench and bar, civic leaders, and community partners to celebrate excellence in the legal profession and the Association’s legacy of advocacy and service.
A former senior advisor to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Perry’s practice at Taft focuses on guiding public and private sector clients through complex policy, infrastructure, and economic development initiatives. She is widely respected for her strategic counsel, deep knowledge of Federal and District governments, and longstanding engagement with organizations that promote civic leadership and broaden access to opportunity.
