Pasternak to Speak on Trade Secret Audits at IPLAC Annual Summit
Taft Intellectual Property partner Thomas Pasternak will speak on the panel “The Trade Secret Audit: An Important Tool to Consider to Protect Your Client’s Intellectual Property” at the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) Annual Trade Secrets Summit on April 4. Speakers will discuss why a trade secret audit may be beneficial to identify and protect trade secrets, how to perform the audit, and the results and processes to acknowledge after the audit.

Pasternak focuses his practice on patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation, licensing, and prosecution. He protects and defends his clients’ intellectual property rights in district courts across the country, the International Trade Commission (ITC), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and the Federal Circuit and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. In addition, he routinely conducts trade secret audits and designs internal programs that include confidentiality agreements that protect employers, business partners, and potential buyers and sellers of proprietary technology.
