O'Brien Presents Land Use Zoning Best Practices to Cleveland-Marshall Law Students
Taft partner Gregory J. O’Brien chaired and led a panel of experienced municipal attorneys during a three-hour presentation at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Moot Court Room on Oct. 14. The panelists covered the nuts and bolts of the administrative approval process for municipal boards, such as the board of zoning appeals, planning commission and architectural board of review. Attendees gained a better appreciation for the administrative application and review system and the codes under which they operate, all with an aim to ensure that clients have the best chance of success when appearing before those boards and, if necessary, on appeal.
Co-presenters were Elizabeth Wells Rothenberg, assistant law director of the city of Cleveland Heights, and Kevin M. Butler, law director of the city of Lakewood.
