Northagen Appointed Chair of the MSBA Energy and Public Utilities Section
Austin Northagen has been appointed the Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA)’s Energy and Public Utilities Law Section. Prior to becoming Chair, Northagen was Vice Chair of the Energy and Public Utilities Law Section from 2025-2026. The Energy and Public Utilities Law Section fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing, while keeping attorneys informed about legislative, administrative, and judicial developments affecting public utilities law. Northagen is an attorney in Taft’s Energy practice group who focuses his practice on energy facility permitting, electric and natural gas utility ratemaking and regulation, administrative and appellate proceedings, as well as representing utilities in property tax valuations.
