Menyhart to Serve as Co-Moderator at China Town Hall in Indianapolis

Taft partner Russell Menyhart will be one of two local moderators at the national China Town Hall on Nov. 18 at the University of Indianapolis. The China Town Hall webcast will be moderated by George Stephanopoulos and feature Melanie Hart, Senior Fellow; Director, China Policy, Center for American Progress; Steve Orlins, President, National Committee on U.S.-China Relations; Yasheng Huang, Epoch Foundation Professor of International Management, MIT Sloan School of Management. The national webcast will include an discussion from different perspectives on the U.S.-China relationship. Menyhart will then moderate a local conversation with Milind Thakar, a University of Indianapolis faculty member.

Menyhart is a former diplomat with extensive international experience, most recently serving as political unit chief at the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai from 2011-2014. He assists clients in navigating international legal issues, and a substantial portion of his practice is focused on compliance with anti-corruption laws and export controls, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and other relevant laws and regulations. Menyhart is a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and a fellow in its Public Intellectuals Program.
