Menyhart Selected for National Committee on U.S.-China Relations’ Public Intellectuals Program
Taft partner Russell Menyhart has been selected by the National Committee on United States–China Relations (NCUSCR) as a fellow in the sixth round of NCUSCR’s Public Intellectuals Program (PIP). PIP identifies outstanding members of the next generation of American China specialists who have an interest and potential to venture into areas relevant to foreign policy and public education. Menyhart is one of twenty fellows who will participate in the two-year enrichment program intended to complement their primary academic or professional positions.
Menyhart is a former diplomat with extensive international experience, most recently serving as political unit chief at the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai from 2011-2014. He assists clients in navigating complex international legal issues, including export controls, internal compliance matters, and cross-border disputes. Fluent in Mandarin, he also assists Chinese and other foreign companies and individuals with the legal matters related to operating in the United States.
