Taft attorney Russell C. Menyhart has been selected to join the Indiana Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC), a national organization that brings together national security and foreign policy experts to support strategic investments to elevate development and diplomacy alongside defense to build a better, safer world. Menyhart has also been invited to attend the USGLC State Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C., which will take place June 13-14. The summit will include meetings with Indiana members of Congress to promote the importance of the foreign affairs budget.
Menyhart is a former diplomat with extensive international experience, most recently serving as political unit chief at the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai from 2011-2014. A member of Taft’s Litigation group, he assists both U.S. and foreign clients in navigating international legal issues, with a substantial portion of his practice focused on compliance with anti-corruption, export control and sanctions law. Fluent in Mandarin, he also assists Chinese and other foreign companies and individuals with the legal aspects of investing in the United States, immigration matters and other complex legal issues.
