McDonald Moderates Panel at NATO Parliamentary Assembly

On May 25, Taft partner Ambassador Tom McDonald moderated the panel, “The Role of Cultural Exchanges in Building Lasting Ties, as part of a series of events connected to the 2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly held in Dayton, Ohio. The panel was part of a commemoration celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords ending the Bosnian War. The public forum was added to this year’s Spring Session to provide an opportunity for the Dayton community to come together and highlight the city’s role as a dynamic, world-class hub on the global stage. The program featured thought-based discussions with high-level elected officials, security and policy experts, and local leaders from across the NATO countries.

The event was featured in the Dayton Daily News and a segment was televised by WHIO-TV covering the panel discussions and the importance of art and culture in uniting people.

McDonald is a seasoned trial lawyer and litigator. Drawing on his extensive experience in government relations, he provides strategic business and policy counsel to clients across industries. In Washington, D.C., he regularly advises corporate CEOs and legal officers on government affairs and is a registered lobbyist with an active federal agency and Capitol Hill practice. As part of a White House Delegation, Ambassador McDonald accompanied the late Ambassador Richard Holbrooke on a mission to Bosnia in the Summer of 1996.
