Taft partner Melissa Macchia was elected to the Junior Achievement of Central Indiana Board of Directors on Feb. 13. Junior Achievement’s mission is to help young people connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. Additionally, they provide guidance to young people on how they can invest in their future, gain a better understanding of how the world works, and pursue their dreams.

Macchia serves as co-chair of Taft’s Employment and Labor Relations practice group lead for the Indianapolis office and is also a member of Taft’s M&A Litigation practice group. She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of employment-related matters and litigation, as well as complex commercial litigation. Macchia has successfully handled a variety of significant matters involving employment disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret claims, litigation arising from mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions, commercial contracts, and shareholder disputes.
