Lowe Awarded MBE in 2026 New Year Honours

Taft Cleveland attorney Bruce Lowe has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by His Majesty King Charles, as announced in the 2026 New Year Honours List released on Dec. 29, 2025. The annual list recognizes individuals for exceptional service and achievement benefiting the United Kingdom and its global community.

Lowe is honored “for services to British business in the United States.” The citation lists him as Bruce John Lawton Lowe, Founding Member of the British American Chamber of Commerce, Great Lakes Region, based in Cleveland, Ohio.

A native of England, Lowe has been a driving force in strengthening British-American relations and advancing the practice of international law. He has served as Chair of the Greater Cleveland International Law Group and as a leader in the British American Legal Group (BAGOL). His contributions include organizing a Cleveland session of the British American Business Network’s Annual Transatlantic Business Conference and serving on the Host Committee for the American Society of International Law’s Midyear Meeting, held in Cleveland in September 2025.
