Lord to Serve as Panelist at American Planning Association Illinois Chapter State Conference
Taft Chicago attorney Braeden Lord will be a speaker at the 2023 American Planning Association Illinois Chapter (APA-IL) State Conference on Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. CT. The panel “Zoning for the Cultural Wars” will discuss the historical impact zoning and land use regulations have had on cultural diversity, social diversity, and socioeconomic opportunity and how they can be retooled in the future for good.

Lord is an attorney in Taft’s Real Estate practice group. He advises real estate developers, corporations, non-profits, small businesses, and local governments on a wide range of topics, including zoning, licensing, permitting, local taxation, statutory interpretation, and real property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Lord earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School and his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Boston College.
