Lawson and Willis Quoted in Cincy Magazine
Taft partners Margaret A. Lawson and Ryan L. Willis were quoted in the article "Rules of Invention: U.S. Adopts World View on ‘First to File’ Patent Rights," which was published in Cincy magazine’s June/July issue.
Lawson is co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating license agreements, technology transfer agreements and other contracts in areas that include biomedical technology, computer software and hardware, e-commerce, publishing and franchising. She oversees the registration and maintenance of trademark portfolios in the United States and foreign countries.
Willis is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. He regularly conducts patentability studies, authors legal opinions regarding infringement and non-infringement, and prepares and negotiates intellectual property licenses, including software licenses.
