Lawson and Allie Named IP Stars by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine
Taft partners Margaret Lawson and John Allie have been named “IP Stars” by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Lawson was selected as a “Trademark Star” for Ohio and Allie as a “Patent Star” for Indiana. The firm is also “Recommended” in Indiana and Ohio for intellectual property.
Lawson’s practice focuses on trademark, trade secret, copyright and right of publicity. She has developed proficiency negotiating licenses and technology transfer agreements in high-stakes industries that include biomedical technology, software, e-commerce, data storage and security, publishing and franchising.
Allie focuses his practice in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and general technology related agreements. Allie’s areas of technical experience focus on mechanical technology, manufacturing processes, material science, casting, metallurgy, internal combustion engines, gas turbine engines and control systems.
