Lampton and Heck Elected to Dayton Chapter Federal Bar Association Leadership Positions

Dayton attorneys Nadia Lampton and Zachary Heck were sworn in as president-elect and vice president, respectively, by US Southern District of Ohio Chief Judge Algenon Marbley, on Oct. 24 at the Federal Bar Association – Dayton Chapter 2019 Annual Meeting & Luncheon.

Lampton has served as the chair of the Dayton Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Committee and the Bar Briefs Editorial Board. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law where she was a dean’s fellow, a teaching assistant, the executive publications editor of the law review and the associate justice of extramural competitions for the law school’s Moot Court program. Lampton advises business owners and management in all aspects of labor and employment, and has garnered an extensive and successful track record assisting clients in the construction, industrial manufacturing, healthcare, media and entertainment and technology industries navigate and prevail in large-scale labor arbitration disputes and litigation matters.

The Dayton Business Journal named Heck a member of the 2018 Forty Under 40 class of emerging leaders and the Dayton Bar Association recognized him as a 2018 Rising Star of the Bar. He is an adjunct professor of cybersecurity law at Wright State University, where he earned the 2017 Excellence in Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty. Heck’s practice focuses on privacy and data security. Specifically, he assists clients in the areas of privacy compliance, defense litigation, class action defense and guidance in the aftermath of an information security event, including data breach.
